During my school days the most common sight almost every weekend was the dining table spread with blueprints, engineering textbooks, measuring scale, log tables, pencil sharpener and many white sheets of calculations of dads current projects. My hobby was to make sense of these blueprints. They were exciting and challenging. Later when I came to know about scientific calculators I had asked him why did he prefer to do the calculations manually. He replied “what if you are in a situation where you don't have a calculator ?”. He was definitely meticulous and a colleague from his workplace had once told me dad's calculations are more accurate and his company's quality assurance department uses his calculations to double check before any purchase. His motto is to be the best in whatever you do. So I'm trying to be the best in my profession of choosing. It is the duty of children to uphold the values of their parents and not to emulate them as we are different individuals from our parents.
